Our story
We built the tool
we couldn't find.
Herarx was born out of frustration with the tools that existed — either too expensive, too complicated, or too casual about security for sensitive work.
"The files were in email. The notes were in a spreadsheet. The contacts were somewhere else entirely. And none of it was secure enough for the work we were actually doing."— The problem Herarx was built to solve
How we got here
The problem was real
The people who handle the most sensitive work — lawyers managing client matters, compliance officers running investigations, analysts tracking complex cases — often use the most chaotic tools. Files scattered across email threads. Notes in spreadsheets shared via links. Contacts in a CRM that was never designed for this kind of work. And almost none of it with proper access controls, audit trails, or security built in from the start.
The dedicated tools that existed were either built for enterprise procurement cycles — six-figure contracts, six-month implementations — or they were lightweight solutions that treated security as an afterthought. The gap in the middle, for small teams and individuals who needed professional-grade structure and security without enterprise overhead, was just... empty.
So we built Herarx. A platform where every case is a structured workspace: files, contacts, notes, and team collaboration all in one place, with role-based access controlling who sees what, and a full audit trail documenting everything that happens. Two-factor authentication on every account by default. Session protection, CSRF prevention, and proper password hashing — not because users asked for it, but because it should just be there.
We're in early access now. The platform works, real people are using it to manage real cases, and we're shipping improvements every week. We won't tell you it's perfect — there are still gaps we're honest about. But the foundation is solid, and the direction is clear.
Build something that the people doing hard, sensitive work can actually trust.
What we stand for
Four things we won't compromise on
Security is not optional
2FA, audit trails, and access controls aren't premium features — they're the baseline. Every account gets them. We won't build a version of Herarx without them.
Radical transparency
We publish our limitations honestly. If something isn't audited, we say so. If a feature is missing, we say so. We'd rather lose a potential user than mislead one.
Focused, not bloated
We build features that serve the core job: organised, secure, collaborative case management. We resist the temptation to become everything to everyone.
Built for the person doing the work
Not the IT department or procurement committee. Whether you're managing a legal case, coordinating a team project, tracking a complex investigation, or organising any work that matters — the experience of the person actually doing it drives every decision.
Where we're headed
The next twelve months
We're building in public. Here's what's ahead.
